Quick Cross Stitch Tapestry Cushions

Quick Cross Stitch Tapestry is worked on 5 holes per inch canvas which makes it easy and quick to work. We have many customers who through deteriorating eyesight or joint problems can no longer work on finer tapestry but continue to enjoy our Quick Cross Stitch kits. They are also an easy introduction to stitching for the first time stitcher.
Usually Quick Cross Stitch kits use acrylic yarn or several threads together in the needle to cover the canvas. Brigantia kits however use a yarn made with British pure wool designed to give the correct coverage with one thread. This makes for easier working and gives a hard wearing and luxurious finished cushion.
Another feature of Cross Stitch is that as the stitch goes left and right the canvas is always square making it easier to make up into a cushion when finished. Every kit is supplied with needle and easy to follow instructions. We have a large range of cushions in this stitch along with a collection of rugs (details below).

Our Hand Printed Canvas
All our canvases are hand printed for accuracy which means that every stitch on the canvas is the correct colour. We are the only kit producer to offer this accuracy on all canvas counts which takes the Guesswork out of Needlework.
Many companies claim to have accurate printing by machine but this not possible. A machine cannot see the variations that occur in even the best canvas leading to the printing being only an approximation of what the designer intended. The only way to be sure is by hand, eye and experience.
Machine printed designs only give an approximation of where to stitch each colour which can make geometric designs in particular very frustrating to work.
Our Pure Wool Yarns
Our yarns are designed to match the canvas they are intended for so you always use only one strand in your needle. They are spun in Yorkshire from the best fleece suited for tapestry. The yarn is then dyed, treated with conditioners and gently dried in a flow of warm air to produce a full and soft finish.
Premium fleece deserves premium handling and our yarns are treated with the respect they deserve. Yarn for mass produced kits is usually stored under tension on cones which can make the yarn thin giving poor coverage. Our yarns are stored in hanks so that they are not under any tension and retain the bulk that they had on leaving the drier.
